PP chemical tank

How to make PP chemical tank?

Share this post :

The steps for producing PP chemical tanks are generally similar to the production of other PP tanks, but some special considerations are required due to the chemical resistance required for handling chemicals. Following are the manufacturing steps of PP chemical tanks:

Material selection:

Choose high-quality polypropylene resins or pellets for chemical resistance and ensure they meet the necessary quality standards and specifications.

PP Chemical Tank Design and Schematic Drawing:

Design PP chemical tanks according to requirements, such as determining the size, shape, internal structure, top cover, etc. of PP storage tanks. Draw the finished product of the designed PP chemical tank into CAD drawings for later production and processing.

PP sheet engraving and cutting:

Use an engraving machine to cut the PP sheet into a specified size, mainly by dividing the main structure of the water tank, cutting the PP sheet into the corresponding size, and assembling a complete PP chemical tank.

Assembly and welding:

The individual parts of the tank are assembled using thermal welding techniques. These methods ensure that the joints are strong and leak-proof, suitable for handling chemicals.

Weld reinforcement:

Generally, it is recommended to reinforce the outer layer for larger-sized water tanks, because chemical tanks filled with chemicals are prone to deformation. The commonly used reinforcement method is to weld steel pipes on the outside of PP chemical tanks.

Chemical Resistance Test:

Chemical resistance testing is performed on tank samples using the specific chemicals that the tank will handle. Verify that materials can withstand chemical environments without degradation or damage.

Quality Control and Testing:

Thorough quality control inspections and testing of finished chemical tanks to ensure they meet design specifications and safety standards. This includes pressure testing, leak testing, dimensional measurements and visual inspections.

Surface treatment and finishing:

Polish and smooth tank surfaces to remove imperfections and create a smooth finish. This helps prevent chemical residue build-up and simplifies tank cleaning, with the reinforced steel square vents treated for rust and water resistance.

Fittings and accessories:

Install the required attachments and fittings, such as valves, flanges and connectors, to allow the tank to perform to its fullest intended purpose.

Packaging and Shipping:

Pack the PP chemical tanks securely to protect them during transportation. Make sure the storage tank has the correct label and handling instructions.

Remember that the production of chemical storage tanks involves handling potentially hazardous materials. Complying with all safety protocols and complying with relevant regulations and standards is essential to ensure the safety and quality of the final product. It is highly recommended to seek advice and assistance from experienced professionals and manufacturers in the field of chemical tank production.
